Gerald Stedge is a seasoned leader with over 23 years of experience helping clients meet their natural resource management challenges. As the Director of Abt Associates’ Natural Resources Practice, Stedge is responsible for business development and project delivery. He also oversees Abt’s performance on several multi-million-dollar mission support contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Homeland Security.
 
In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Stedge is a trusted advisor to his clients. His advisory work focuses on applying economics to make better water resource management decisions. His consulting assignments are varied, ranging from helping the Corps of Engineers use private-public-partnerships to better deliver and maintain the nation’s water resource infrastructure to developing SafeWater CBX, a model to estimate the costs and benefits of EPA’s drinking water standards.
 
In addition to his knowledge of water resource issues and economics, Stedge brings to his assignments extensive experience developing economic/environmental simulation models, conducting operations research and statistical analyses.
 
Stedge holds a Ph.D. from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
