Statement from Abt Associates President and CEO on Combating Hate and Bigotry

Like so many Americans and people around the world, I am deeply troubled by the recent acts of violence, bigotry and hatred in Charlottesville and Spain. Now more than ever, we must stand together around the world against these acts and in support of equality and diversity. To paraphrase the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we must not become silent about the things that matter.

At Abt Associates, our mission and values have never been a more important platform for positive change, empowerment, and peace. Our employees work tirelessly to improve the lives of those most in need, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or sexual preference. Our culture is built on one of inclusion and the belief that diversity makes us stronger and inspires innovative thinking.

To do our part, Abt Associates will make a donation to the Anti-Defamation League, an organization committed to combating hatred and bigotry, and will provide matching funds for employees who make donations.

While the incidents of hate and bigotry we've seen over the last week are appalling, together we can work to make a positive impact and a brighter future.

-- Kathleen L. Flanagan, President and CEO, Abt Associates
