Abt Associates’ USAID-funded Agribusiness and Trade Promotion (ATP) project in West Africa is organizing a major conference in January on the importance of regional trade to food security, an often overlooked but key issue to helping West Africa feed itself.
Hosted by the Economic Organization for West Africa States with technical and financial support from ATP, “Food Across Borders: Improving Food Security Through Regional Trade in West Africa” will bring together private and public stakeholders to develop a roadmap for improving food security through regional trade in staple commodities, leading to benefits for millions of West Africans.
